I wanted an exercise class that wasn’t gym based. Pilates seemed a good idea, but I had no idea what it was going to be like. Fortunately Angela made me feel very welcome and it was nowhere near as terrifying as I thought it might be. Now I really look forward to going to the classes every week, and would encourage anyone who was thinking about an exercise class to give Pilates a go.
I started Reformer 1:1 sessions with Angela a couple of months ago and I absolutely loved it from the first session! The Reformer is a really versatile bit of kit. Angela tailors the session to me and what she thinks I’m capable of, with a few challenges thrown in! She incorporates exercises to help me with any issues I have (such as dodgy wrists and shoulders from sitting at a desk all day!). Each session is different so you can’t get bored; the hour just flies by. I’ve noticed a massive difference in my posture, strength and flexibility in just a few weeks and I’m actually getting a bit of muscle definition! It’s had the added bonus of helping me get more from my mat classes as I’ve learnt better technique from being on the Reformer. I can’t recommend it highly enough – just give it a go!
